According to Indian mythology, the son of Pavana, the wind God, once leapt into the sky to swallow the sun thinking it to be an apple which only resulted in his swollen jaw. This is one of the many great stories of Hanuman. A demi-god from the Indian mythology, Hanuman was considered to be the most righteous being with super-human strength and an everlasting life.

This series, brought to life by the exciting 2D animation by Padmalaya, tells the various tales of Hanuman's powers and how he used them to fight evil, alongside Lord Rama.

This series of stories revolves around five fourth graders - Chazz, Kiko, Rollo, Sam and Lonnie who, by a freak accident, jump into a lake that gives them the power to morph into any animal at their will. Each chooses an animal, indicating their traits. Chazz, a tall Asian boy turns into a snake, quick to spot opportunities and ready to jump under cover in trouble. Kiko turns into the ruler of the skies, a hawk. Rollo, a solid Afro-American with athletic abilities turns into a cheetah. Sam turns into a cuddly little mouse and Lonnie, into a character that best suits him, an elephant.

These five forms the Jataka crew and their bizarre adventures take you on a roller coaster of fun and edge-of-the-seat excitement. They face evil in the eye and discover in the process that the most devious and diabolical being on earth is man himself. How they fight together to counter evil is what's to be seen and enjoyed.

The characters have been designed by Uli Meyer Studios and the series have been co-produced with a US firm which also is the distributor. The format lasts for 26 x 22 minutes.
